Meet the Candidates: Gary Thomas

On November 6, 2023, Brooks Towers owners will elect three new members to the HOA board of directors. Gary Thomas is one of the four candidates running for the board this year.

Gary's Bio:

Hello! My name is Gary Thomas. I am the owner of Thomas Janitorial Services, Inc., since 1995 to present. I come from a construction background, however, in 1980 construction was slow, so I went to get a temporary job. I put in an application at Brooks Tower apartments, and almost 43 years later, I am still here! I was involved in the Condo conversion in 1995, from apartments to condominiums, which was the largest condo conversion west of the Mississippi at that time.

I have a vast amount of knowledge of the history of Brooks Tower, I have been in and out of all the units countless times, I helped do my part on the Riser project and I have served on the Board of Directors for the last 3 years serving you, the residents. I’ve been at the helm of recent positive impact projects including getting recycling restarted and acquiring the Luxer package system. My company remodeled the recycling room in the garage and the Luxer room at no charge. I also brought the concept of advertising, which is now related to Orange Barrel, which could be a game changer financially to the building. I was a major help to the Board members and employees, showing my abilities to work with others with the Luxer acquisition.

My 3-year term is almost up. However, there are still things to be done at Brooks Tower. I would like to be able to continue to use my knowledge, skill, and ability to move the building forward to a positive and economical future. I hope you vote for me so I can continue to be a voice for the people and represent all of us for a bright future! Thank you.
